Lakeside Harmonies is a pair of privately owned holiday homes at Via Due Riviere 90, Baveno, on Lake Maggiore in Piedmont, Italy. Both sit inside the boutique “Armonie del Lago” residence, share a 149 m² outdoor pool with panoramic lake views, and are hosted personally by the two families who own them.
Just minutes from Stresa and the Borromean Islands, this is an elegant base for travellers who notice the details — the espresso on the terrace at eight in the morning, the light on the water at dusk, the fact that nobody is walking past your garden.

Why guests choose us
Every home in the residence was positioned along a 30-metre natural slope so that all of them look out over the lake. Yours does too — from the terrace, the bedroom and the pool.
The shared pool overlooks the lake and is open from 1 June to 15 September. Most homes in the residence are unoccupied, so in practice you often have it to yourselves.
Five waymarked loops leave from the residence — from a gentle 10 km family walk to a seven-hour ascent of Mottarone. No transfer, no car park, no queue.
Two families who live a few steps away. Alice and Nicolò have been Airbnb Superhosts for years; Alex and Vero designed and furnished the apartment themselves.

The residence
A modern residential complex of 28 homes, mostly laid out over two levels, each with a private garden and an underground garage. Fourteen of the homes add an attic floor.
Thanks to the natural slope of the land — roughly 30 metres — the complex is divided into three blocks and designed so that every single home enjoys a lake view. At its heart is the shared swimming pool: 149 square metres of water, also facing the lake.

Baveno town centre is a 10-minute walk downhill, Stresa is 5 minutes by car, and Milan Malpensa airport is about 35 minutes by car.

The 149 m² pool is shared between the residence’s guests and open from 1 June to 15 September. In practice it is very quiet, because most homes in the residence are unoccupied. Chairs are provided; sun umbrellas are not, and pool towels are not included.
The villa’s garden, three patios, balcony and indoor hot tub are entirely private — as is the apartment’s large terrace and second balcony.
The apartment sleeps 4 (1 bedroom, 2 beds, 2 bathrooms). The villa sleeps 8 (4 bedrooms, 5 beds, 3 bathrooms). Booked together for the same dates, the two homes host up to 12 guests in the same residence — useful for extended families and small group trips.
Recommended, not essential. Baveno centre and the lakefront are a 10-minute walk downhill, and the ferry port for the Borromean Islands is 2.8 km away. Free private parking is included with both homes, and Stresa train station is a 10-minute taxi ride.
A car does make the uphill return with shopping bags easier, and opens up Stresa, Verbania, Lake Orta and the Swiss border — all under an hour away.
Children are welcome at the villa, which provides a high chair, and the apartment comfortably takes a family of four.
Pets are allowed at the villa by prior arrangement. They are not permitted in the apartment. Neither home permits smoking, and neither is suitable for wheelchair users or guests with limited mobility — the site is built on a steep slope and the homes are spread over two or three floors.
The Borromean Islands — Isola Bella, Isola dei Pescatori and Isola Madre — are minutes away by ferry from Baveno or Stresa. Five waymarked hiking loops start at the residence, including the Alpinia botanical garden and the Pisarota waterfall. Add the Mottarone cable car from Stresa, Golf Club des Iles Borromées, lakeside beach clubs, and Lake Orta and Lugano within the hour.
