The short version
A two-floor apartment for up to four guests in the Armonie del Lago residence above Baveno. Downstairs: living area with sofa bed, fully equipped kitchen, guest bathroom and a large private terrace with panoramic Lake Maggiore views opening straight off the living room. Upstairs: the bedroom, the main bathroom with a SMEG washer-dryer, and a second balcony. Plus a 100" cinema projector, air conditioning, secure indoor parking and the residence’s 149 m² shared pool.
We designed this apartment to feel like a stylish, calm retreat, nestled in peaceful greenery for a truly quiet escape. It suits couples, or two couples, or a family of four.
What makes the place special — and what we fell in love with — is the panoramic view from the large private terrace, reached directly from the living room. Start the day with an espresso out there, or wind down with an aperitivo as the sun drops behind the mountains. For evenings in, there is the 100-inch cinema projector.
The apartment is spread across two floors for space and privacy. The ground floor holds the living area with its comfortable sofa bed, the fully equipped kitchen — dishwasher included — and a guest bathroom. Upstairs you will find the bedroom, the main bathroom with a premium SMEG washer-dryer, and a second balcony off the bedroom: a quiet spot facing the lake and the mountains.
The residence adds a large shared pool, open from 1 June to 30 September, and secure private indoor parking. You are minutes from Baveno, Stresa and Verbania, which makes this an excellent base for the Borromean Islands — and for the restaurants, bars, shops and beach clubs a short drive away.

Getting here
By car: take the Baveno motorway exit, head into the town centre, and from the lake follow signs for the hamlet of Campino-Someraro. Lakeside Harmonies — “Armonie del Lago” — is on Via Due Riviere, up on the right.
By train: from Stresa station it is a 10-minute taxi ride.

How many people does it sleep?
Up to 4 guests: a king bed in the upstairs bedroom and a comfortable sofa bed in the downstairs living area, with a bathroom on each floor.
Is there air conditioning and fast WiFi?
Yes — air conditioning, heating and broadband internet throughout, plus a dishwasher, a SMEG washer-dryer, a coffee machine and the 100" laser projector.
Is parking included?
Yes. A secure private indoor garage inside the gated residence, at no extra cost.
When is the pool open?
1 June to 30 September. Apartment guests use the residence's 149 m² shared pool — unheated, overlooking the lake, and rarely busy. Chairs are provided; pool towels and sun umbrellas are not, so bring a beach towel. (The villa has a separate private heated pool of its own, which is not this one.) Both pools compared →
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check in from 15:00, check out by 11:00. We live a few steps away and meet you in person on arrival.
Can we bring a dog, and is smoking allowed?
No pets in the apartment — our neighbours’ villa does accept them by prior arrangement. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the apartment.
Is it suitable for guests with limited mobility?
No. The apartment is spread over two floors with an open-tread internal staircase, and the residence is built across a natural slope of roughly 30 metres. It is not wheelchair accessible.
Do we need a car?
Recommended rather than required. Baveno centre and the lakefront are a ten-minute walk downhill, and the ferry port for the Borromean Islands is 2.8 km away. Free garage parking is included and Stresa station is a ten-minute taxi ride — but a car does make the uphill return with shopping easier, and puts Verbania, Lake Orta and Switzerland within the hour.
What do we need to bring?
Bed linen and bathroom towels are provided. Bring a pool or beach towel — those are not included, and there are no sun umbrellas at the pool, though chairs and loungers are. Bring proper walking shoes if you plan to use the hiking trails that start at the residence.
Can we book both homes for a bigger group?
Yes. The villa sleeps 8 and is a short walk away inside the same gated residence, so the two homes together host up to 12 guests with 5 bathrooms. They are separate Airbnb listings — reserve both for the same dates, or message us and we will check both calendars first.
How does cancellation work?
Booking, payment and cancellation all run through Airbnb, with their guest protections. 50% of prepayments is refundable if you cancel 14 or more days before arrival, and nothing after that. No security deposit is taken. The exact policy for your dates is shown on the listing before you pay.
